Yoga For Mental Health Program and Teacher Training

The 10-month Yoga for Mental Health program offers incredible value ($10,673) for the price of $4000!

This program is available to all participants who:

  • Hold an Australian Medicare card
  • Qualifies for a mental health treatment plan from their GP

We are able to offer you this comprehensive program at a significant discount as we will bill specific components of the Yoga for Mental Health program as a “Medicare health service” (e.g. individual consultations or group sessions with Gerry Bronn).

Medicare will therefore subsidise the cost of the Yoga for Mental health program - making it more affordable.

Payment for the program will consist of an initial deposit ($2680) followed by nine monthly payments of $919.

After the residential retreat, a Medicare rebate of $278.70 will be issued to you.

After each monthly payment of $919, you will receive a Medicare rebate of $710.48.

To hear more about the Yoga for Mental Health program – and how payment and Medicare rebates will work – please register your contact details with us and we will give you a call to answer any questions you may have.

Mental Health Care Plan Questions

What is a mental health treatment plan?

A mental health treatment plan (MHTP) is a Medicare-directed process that involves a GP creating a plan for people experiencing significant stress and other mental health symptoms so they can receive government rebates to support the cost of their psychological treatment. If you have a mental health treatment plan you will receive Medicare rebates for the Yoga for Mental Health program.

How do I get a mental health treatment plan?

Visit your GP and explain your physical and mental health symptoms and your doctor will assess whether you qualify for a mental health treatment plan. If your GP decides a mental health treatment plan is the best option to support you, your doctor will work with you to fill in the plan and set your treatment goals.

We suggest that you book a longer appointment with your GP (at least 20 minutes). This will allow you plenty of time to discuss your mental health symptoms with your doctor.

How do I claim rebates from Medicare?

For participants with a mental health treatment plan, Gerry Bronn will process the Medicare rebates on your behalf at the end of the residential retreat – and at the end of each month (shortly after processing your monthly payment fee) and the Medicare rebate will automatically be sent to the bank account you’ve nominated with Medicare, usually on the same day.

What is the Medicare Safety Net?

Medicare Safety Net is designed to provide additional financial relief for people with high medical expenses by further reducing their out-of-pocket costs. Once an individual or family reaches out-of-pocket medical expenses of:

  • $770.30 (Concession Card Holders and Family Tax Benefit A recipients) or more
  • $2414 or more (everyone else)

They are entitled to receive a substantially higher rebate from Medicare for health services.

This is how the Yoga for Mental Health program is able to provide a relatively high Medicare rebate amount of $6673 – therefore reducing the cost to just $4000.
