Evidence-informed joy

Play is not a decoration. It is serious learning wearing a brighter outfit.

Research on school mindfulness, yoga, movement, guided play and educational relationships points toward something Rainbow Yoga has practised for decades: children learn best when they feel safe, active, connected and invited to participate.

01

Yoga and mindfulness, adapted for children

Reviews of school-based yoga and mindfulness describe promising outcomes for attention, self-regulation and wellbeing, with an important caution: study quality varies, and the practice must be age-appropriate.

02

Play with purpose

Guided-play research supports a balance of child choice and sensitive adult guidance. That is why our games have intention, adaptation and reflection, not just noise and movement.

03

Relationship is part of the method

Research on belonging and teacher-student relationships links supportive connection with stronger social, emotional and learning outcomes. Rainbow Yoga trains adults to lead connection, not just poses.

We do not promise medical or therapeutic outcomes. We teach practical, human, adaptable tools you can use within your professional, family or community role.

Definitely would recommend this training!

the training was very informative easy to follow and lot of good information. I liked that it was very inspiring and I feel ready to teach after the course. I also liked how it was set up and after every little class we had quiz and discussion so you could really work through the information. This made me feel that I was at a live training. Also there were many great creative ideas and games for different age groups . I liked that the principal was easy do put the class together.
I feel very ready and inspired to teach yoga for children. I would 💯 recommend the training.

Well rounded and lots of fun!

I loved training with Rainbow Yoga! I feel the quality of training was brilliant and easy to get through. There font of knowledge, wisdom and experience in this course is endless! So many fantastic, imaginative, fun ideas and resources to confidently go into the world of Children's Yoga. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that It wasn't made entirely clear to me at the beginning that i needed to comment on each page, so i had to go back and do them all after i completed the course. This was a little tedious and took me a lot loner that it should have but in the long run, made me into a better teacher. Thank you Rainbow Yoga! The support was great and can't wait to do a training in person!

My joyful journey into Kids Yoga

I was curious about the concept of kids yoga, and throughout the course, I truly enjoyed learning about it through so many fun examples and explanations. Every time I watched a video, I couldn’t wait to try it out with children myself. I also realized that yoga is not a serious or rigid form of exercise, but something joyful and fun, which made this experience even more meaningful for me. Thank you for your wonderful teaching and sharing experiences. I will definitely recommend Rainbow Kids Yoga to my friends!
